There is no simple way to describe The Hen House. Ultimately, visiting us you will experience what it’s all about. In the meantime I will give it my best try😉.
The Hen House officially opened its doors in April 2021 after the start of the Pop-up Artisan Cooperative, in the Glocester Heritage Building. The cooperative was such a success, we realized there was a need for local handmade goods here in Chepachet, RI. In keeping with the same premise of local and handmade, we jumped at the chance when our current building came up for sale, just a few doors down from the Cooperative.…….and The Hen House was born(layed).
In our quaint Main Street location, you cannot miss our beautiful 1800s orange building. Though many were scared of the bright standout color, we can all agree it was a great decision.
The Hen House is a gift shop with beautiful pottery, handmade soaps, knit goods, glass art, local maple and honey, birdhouses, unique jewelry, wood decor, jams, jellies and the list goes on. Walk through our grandmas’ style kitchen and you’ll discover delicious sweet and savory delights, but it’s also about community, happy vibes, cozy living, a welcoming atmosphere and more. We have our weekly knitting group that meets every Saturday morning 10-noon, classes on Sunday afternoons and during the week, plus special events.
Our amazing customers, knitters, students and welcoming staff have made The Hen House what it is today. . . .ONE BIG MOTHER CLUCKIN FAMILY!
Click and Cluck
